Partdex Plugin SDK — Introduction

Welcome to the **Partdex Developer Portal**. Partdex is an open-platform inventory management system built for salvage yards and auto parts dealers. Our Plugin SDK lets you extend Partdex with new features, tabs, inventory tools, eBay integrations, and more.

What is a Plugin?

A Partdex plugin is a React-based module that is registered in the **Plugin Hub** and can provide one or more of the following capabilities:

•**Inventory Tabs** — New tabs inside the Inventory 2.0 view
•**Part Actions** — Custom actions in the part context menu (right-click / actions dropdown)
•**Dashboard Widgets** — Cards on the yard Dashboard
•**Sidebar Pages** — Full standalone pages accessible from the sidebar
•**eBay Tools** — Custom listing utilities or sync workflows
•**Reporting Modules** — Custom analytics views and report exports

Plugin Lifecycle

1. **Develop** — Build and test locally in your yard

2. **Submit** — Submit via the Dev Portal for review

3. **Review** — The Partdex Team audits your plugin for security, stability, and UX quality

4. **Publish** — Approved plugins appear in the Plugin Hub for all yards to enable
